Sunshine-spring?

Ive had a lovely day today, its been sooo sunny here so i made the most if it.
After we dropped no.1 daughter to school Ruby and i donned our wellies and spent a couple of hours in the garden. She spent most of her time hopping from one mole hill to another(oh to be 3 and 3 quarters again) Meanwhile, my herb garden was mega overgrown.
Ive got Rosemary, Oregano , Sage, Thyme, and Chives. There were lots of bits of dead grass to clear, and the rosemary had got really woody so needed a good prune back-which reminds me i must add a pair of ratchet secateurs onto my birthday 'want it' list.
After the garden was tidy(a bigger job than it sounds) I pulled the car up near to the house and gave it a proper hoovering out, it was full of dog hair, cracker crumbs, dried co co pops etc, yuk.
Next it was time to take no.2 daughter to pre school for the afternoon. Dropped her off then headed over to a bead shop not too far from here for a couple of bits and tried not to spend too much as mum and i are heading to Bicester village outlet store tomorrow so need to save some pennies for CK!
I then let those lovely Asda lads put the car through their car wash for me-there was no way i was going to spend all that time making it look lovely on the inside then dribble our rubbish hose over it-no sir! So, now its sparkling and clean. We're selling it; so ive told Mr P im going to keep it like that, though think i may have bitten off more than i can chew, lol !
Was VERY restrained in Asda as they have some great home stuff at the moment and i hardly ever go there any more, will blog what i did buy later.
So, all in all a very productive day-i even hung some washing on the line! I think it must be the sight of all the daffs and crocus' which has kick started my spring cleaning, i think next i'll clean all the windows, thats a sunny day job so i wont hold my breath for another one of those...any of you ladies started yet?

STOP! You are making me feel too guilty!!! The sum total of what I've done today is: put wash on and hang out, do food shop with whole family (hubby off work today), make dinner and visit brother in law. Not too good! If your garden is anything like mine I imagine it was quite a lot of hard work :-S

Bless you! - Have now got to watch the pennies as I am planning a new kitchen & G wasn't happy that I bought a fabric bag in IKEA today ... He says I've got too many (as if!)... Have some lovely 'me' time - look forward to seeing your treats!

Thank you so so much for your post on my blog... it really helps to hear that others are going through the same and that I have not breed that next community nightmare !!!! I think that Harrison is very cleaver as we have never heard anything reported from school if anything he is the opposite, he is very quite and almost scared at school until he gets togther with some friends who he seems to bounce his confidence off with......We are going to buy some star stickers today and are going to try a sticker for something good and loose one for something bad and then a chocolate bar as a reward if he has earnt all of this starts at the end of the day and fingers crossed it just one of the many fads they go through !!!!!!!

Harrison has a mop of blonde curls and people think that he looks like a cherub....... oh how wrong could they be......xxxxxxx

Thanks again

Well done you. I was in the garden on Thursday, it was lovely here as it is today. Cut back all the dead bits, cleared up lots of leaves etc. You could almost see the plants heave a sigh of relief to feel the sun on them again.
Been doing a bit of painting and bits and bobs around the place too, so spring really must be on its way.
Enjoy your weekend.
Take care.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, it meant I found yours which is lovely.

Too many gorgeous shops near you. I think I would spend too many pennies so probably best I'm stuck in Norfolk. Your CK bag collection has made me felt better, now I knwoo it wouldn't be greedy to have just one more or ....

Hi, me again :-)

I love the sound of your day... very wholesome and happy and domestic. I like to think of my own weekend in the same terms - different activities but same sort of domestic theme!

Your herb garden sounds so lovely. I have a very small garden myself and don't have a great deal of luck growing anything. Afraid I rely rather too much on the herb section in the supermarket!

And I am impressed by the car cleaning. My car is desperate for a clean. I have a lovely little blue Citroen and love it so much I was determined to keep it spotless... and I'm letting things slip!

How did you get on at Cath Kidston?

Love Charlotte
