Wedding season!

Hi all, how you doing>? Great hopefully, as those of you with kiddywinkles will know its officially THE HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!
We so needed this summer break here at the farm, i cant wait to not be clock watching, and to just wake up when we feel like it, eat when we feel like it and get dressed if and when the mood takes us!.....
Last week here at the farm saw a mad lot of people running around organising the wedding of Mr P's brother. The grain store barn behind the house was transformed with a marquee inside it. The purple color theme looked fab and we all had a brilliant time!....I thought id share a few snaps of the day with you all.....
...the wedding was held in a church local to Mr P's parents farm, where his grandparents and parents were married, past family funerals and recent family christenings were held, so its quite a special place....first we sang the hymn 'we plough the fields and scatter'...what a surprise!

Special shoes were selected for the occasion(by miss Ruby)...

Eventhough i dont really like weddings the ceremony was quite lovely and so was the bride!

Heading home down the hill....to a feast of a lunch!...

Wow, was all people could say when they saw how the barn had been transformed...

Cute cake, made by the brides nana...

Homegrown sweetpeas, specially selected for their colour a few months ago and grown by the gardener at the farm.

They travelled back from the church in this brand new beast...

Aah, the morning after the night before!!! Who's for breakfast boys?!!..

The day after the wedding we all sat in the marquee as a family and ate all the leftover meat, salmon, potatos, bread and cheesecake, it was heaven!
I'll catch up with you soon with part two of our summer so far.......enjoy your time chilling out x

I must admit I am not really a wedding lover either. I love the informal ones but when it goes all formal it just puts me off! That one however looked fab!

Oh how lovely was that wedding! How lucky were the special couple. We're going to our first wedding since having the kids, they're 21 & 19 now! Not many in our family to get married!

I hate "corporate" type weddings - the ones planned to within an inch of their lives and held in naff souless hotels. I love weddings like the one you went to - something different and truly personal. xxxx
